Overview:
NAMIX, a manufacturer of industrial machinery for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, sought to modernise its brand identity to align with its mission of revitalising Japan’s small and medium-sized manufacturing sector. The client envisioned an emblem reminiscent of car emblems to convey a sleek, modern, and high-quality aesthetic.

Objective:
The goal was to create an emblem that reflected NAMIX’s innovative approach, resonated with its target audience, and adhered to the client’s preference for a design inspired by car emblems.

Approach:

  • Research and Inspiration: Studied iconic car emblems to understand their visual impact, simplicity, and durability for physical applications.

  • Brand Integration: Collaborated with Starbrand, a Japan-based branding agency, to incorporate NAMIX’s updated brand guidelines into the design.

  • Iterative Design Process: Created multiple design iterations, blending sleek aesthetics with functionality, and refined the emblem based on client feedback to achieve the desired car-inspired look.
